89 percent of applicants to Western State Colorado University were admitted for fall 2018

At Western State Colorado University, 90 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Gunnison enrolled 3,034 students in fall 2018, including 2,606 in undergraduate and 428 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

75 percent of undergraduates are residents of Colorado, and 25 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (63 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (14 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 1,975 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
