Eagle County issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
Eagle County Clerk & Recorder’s offices in Avon, Eagle and El Jebel been closed for motor vehicle, recording and liquor license transactions on Nov. 2 and 3 to allow all staff to assist with the General Election. All online motor vehicle services still be available on Nov. 2 and 3 at mydmv.colorado.gov. Recording services are also available online at www.eaglecounty.us/clerk.
The Eagle and El Jebel Clerk & Recorder locations been open for voter services on Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and on Nov. 3, Election Day, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Avon Voter Service center has moved from the Clerk’s Office in Avon to the Town of Avon Municipal building at 100 Mikaela Way and is open the same dates and time. The Vail voter service center is located at the Grand View Room atop the Lionshead parking structure and be opened starting Oct. 30.
Voters are reminded that under Colorado law, electioneering or campaigning is prohibited from taking place either inside a polling place or within 100 feet of any building in which a polling location is located. In addition, electioneering is prohibited within 100 feet of a dropbox. Voters may not advocate for the election or defeat of a candidate or a ballot measure either inside a polling place or within 100 feet of the entrance to a polling place or dropbox. While inside a polling place, voters may not wear pins, masks, t-shirts, hats or other apparel that displays the name or likeness of any candidate who is on the ballot or bearing the number, title subject or logo of a ballot issue or question that is on the ballot.
