Of the 3,941 people living in Basalt town in 2020, 48.6 percent (1,914) were women and 51.4 percent (2,027) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Central Colorado News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 126. In the 65 and over age range, there were 539 females and 320 males.
